It just pisses me off that now some people think that Katy is desperate when it is really just the fault of her record label for being toooooo damn lazy this era with promo. They freaking NAILED the promo for EVERY other single this era....every ****ing one. Then the most single-ready song won't hit number one.

I think she would have had that number 1 had she waited to release the vid, but kept hyping it with the whole Kathy Beth Terry thing. It was getting to the top 10 on its own and gaining AI. 1 performance could've help aswell... & who knows maybe she was against the remix and Capitol didn't care, they were thirsty for that number 1. I hope they learned their lesson.

They probably figured the video would get Katy to her throne of #1 on itunes and she'd glue herself there like she did with the rest of the singles.
