Ashlee's first CD was average. Thank goodness she was snubbed. I saw through her foolery when she had that MTV reality show.

Captain, I think in terms of overall diversity of vocal performance, nothing will top 04-05 for me. Kelly giving an epic vocal, Gwen bringing back cheerleader chants, Mariah having fun, Sheryl giving soul and Bonnie with her most deserved nomination since 1989.

what was the last artist to be nominated to do this so? even if they didnt win...in these years..do some artists submit their whole album to such categories too?

Yes, she won for those albums. Up until 1992-1993, albums were allowed to be submitted along with singles in the performance categories. Album categories were created two years later.

Interesting fact: Anita won Best Female R&B Vocal Performance two years in a row for "Giving You The Best That I Got" (single) and Giving You The Best That I Got (album) [and of course she won in three-peat for Compositions].
