Sadly I think most people saw it coming unless she cleaned up her act, there is only so long you can abuse your body before it gives up. I can't explain it, I wasn't surprised but it still hit me because I thought (or hoped) she would eventually get it together before it was too late and give us an amazing album...

I think everyone foresaw her death. its sad that she didnt have the right people around her to help her

but i think people also need to realise that she clearly couldnt help herself. she is partly to blame because all addicts have to want to change maybe she wanted to die

It's hard. Drugs change the way your whole system, including your brain, works. It's literally you living for the drugs at some point, not the other way around. Even when you want to, some people can't. They are prisoners.

drugs are a form of self destruction, any adult who abuses drugs knows that its no good. Amy has known this all too well. She had a family who tried to help her, she had a career and millions of fans but she still chose a path of self destuction and drug abuse.

Thank God Beyonce is almost 30.

But Im seriously gonna miss her. her new album was going to be so great too. She recorded some of it, if not all, in the community where my family lives in Jamaica. Her studio was just like 5 minutes away from us.

Im gonna play "Tears Dry On Their Own" forever now, after all it's my favorite song by her. :heart:

Apparently Amy was manic depressive (bi-polar disorder), which probably didn't help to keep her away from self-medicating.

I remember someone else, I can't think of who though, saying the same thing, then eerily dying not to long after saying it.

This incident just shows how much drugs and alcohol take over the brain. It's scary how bad it can consume one's life.

Psychiatric diseases are the worst.

Especially when mixed with alcohol and drugs, it only intensifies the disease...
