hmm, I expected radio to latch onto her like before, hopefully Marry The Night hits #1.

I'm thinking that the Judas effect had a little impact on the performance on radio. But it's not like GaGa didn't get more or the same amount of spins than her other singles that went number one did. Plus, she has a ton of competition right now.

"Judas" peaked #15. And Pop radio hasn't let go of GaGa. "Judas" was just a major flub, unfortunately.

The problem is, radio ha a new IT artist, Katy, Last Friday Night will be her 6th #1 in a row and 7th overall. But next era I bet radio does the same thing to her as they're doing to Katy, and by late 2012 radio has it's next IT artist.

I don't think that's a problem. Rihanna, Pink, GaGa herself have all gotten #1s while Katy has been doing this. It's just simply whatever is hottest at the moment, and "Edge" has done moderately overall. So one wouldn't expect it to be as big as current bigger songs than it, including "LFN".

Definitely. I mean, the pop world is very cyclical. You always have those who are the most popular at a given moment. But just because they aren't as popular the next era does not mean they are irrelevant. Like, even though GaGa is not getting embraced to the same extent right now, she is arguably at her most famous point ever worldwide.

I also think Trey's "Can't Be Friends" & "Moment For Life" can compete #1 year-end with "LAMN" & "Motivation". It's been a busy year.

Radio airplay on Urban stations (Mainstream and AC) and physical singles - but the latter has little to no effect now.

I think that if she releases You & I after the next single, then it will end up doing better than that. The thing is, and many people in the Born This Way thread bringing it up (namely Mr Peanut) that she has already had one HAC/AC song serviced to radio in TEOG. I would not be the best idea to do another similar-audience single. She needs to release either Schiesse or (ugh) Marry the Night in order to get Pop support.
