Me(in 49ers jersey):Welcome to DRL Presents:The Super Bowl XXXVII Pregame Show. We will bring you everything you need to get you psyched up for the big game between the Oakland Raiders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We have many co-hosts for this special. I'm joined by Hilarie of MTV for this event. There are a lot of others checking out what is expected to happen in this big game. Not only that, we have a debut from one of Florida's finest on today's countdown along with the 2002 DRL MVP getting a new song on. Also, can this countdown go crazy? We will start with Eden's Crush who take a huge fall but tomorrow is their last day on. This is your final chance to see Let Me Know reach #1 and Eden's Crush fans will have to raid the requesting pound because I won't premiere their next DRL joint "Promise Me" until May.
30. Eden's Crush "Let Me Know" (52, 1@1)-12
29. Soluna "Monday Mi Amor" (21, 4@1)-3
Mya(in Ravens jersey):That was Soluna at #29 with Monday Mi Amor which was #26 yesterday. For the past 4 months, the NFL season gave us great games and memorable moments. What's hotter than the Super Bowl pre-game? The answer is DRL's Halftime special featuring highlights from the season and DRL takes a look back at the year it was last year when Ashanti, Amerie & Avril conquered the competition. We also have live performances from Nivea, Kelly Clarkson, Amy Studt and me. I'll be joined by Common to do "Real Compared To What". Right now, let's go back to the show. Here's Abby Gennet introducing #28.
Abby(in Jets jersey):This was a wild year for The Donnas as they have worked their way to the top. Already #2 on the MTV2 Rock Countdown and they still rock to the core. Here's "Take It Off".
28. The Donnas "Take It Off" (24, 1@1)+1
27. Finch "What It Is To Burn" (4, 27)+1
Nelly(in Rams jersey):That was Finch at #27 up a spot with the title track from their album "What It Is To Burn". Even though the Rams didn't make the playoffs for the first time in 3 years, I'm not upset. Anyway, the Bucs and the Raiders will probably make this the greatest super bowl game ever. Nobody knows what will happen here. Let's see who is #26.
Kylie(in Giants jersey):Jamming the #26 spot is a tough joint to beat. LL's last day with Paradise is tomorrow as he drops 4 with "Paradise".
26. LL Cool J Featuring Amerie "Paradise" (69, 1@1)-4
25. Mya & Common "Real Compared To What" (4, 25)+2
Jennifer(in Bills jersey):That was Mya & Common up 2 with the coca-cola commercialized song "Real Compared To What". The Super Bowl has come a long way since it came in 1967. The Green Bay Packers were the first Super Bowl winners of the NFL and since then, they have won 2 more but lost 1. Speaking of the cold weather, another artist from the New York area is my boy Ja Rule. He will introduce the next song.
Ja(in Steelers jersey):At the #24 spot is the 2002 DRL MVP Ashanti with some movies for us. Take it away.
24. Ashanti "Movies" (1, 24)DEBUT
23. Shania Twain "Up!" (14, 11)+7
Doug(in Vikings jersey):That was Shania Twain at #23 moving up 7 spots. Nothing can prepare you for the big event between these two superstar teams. Let's move on with the countdown.
Shania(in Seahawks jersey):Thanks for mentioning me Doug. At the #22 spot is...*drops jaw*...Avril Lavigne? The Avril fans have slacked off lately. Here's Losing Grip down 12 to #22.
22. Avril Lavigne "Losing Grip" (3, 6)-12
21. Vanessa Carlton "Twilight" (5, 21)+4
Vanessa(in Eagles jersey):That was me at #21 with Twilight. It always has been good for the NFL, especially when it comes to serious action. Our 2nd quarter is about to start and we begin the top 20 with some serious power.
Amy(in Jaguars jersey):We kick off the top 20 with a smashing debut from Mandy Moore and it's called "Someday We'll Know".
20. Mandy Moore & Gregg Alexander "Someday We'll Know" (1, 20)HOT SHOT DEBUT
19. 50 Cent "In Da Club" (9, 5)+5
18. Christina Milian "Spending Time" (4, 11)-1
Cent(in Lions jersey):That was Christina Milian down 1 to #18 with Spending Time. Before that was my joint "In Da Club" up 5 to #19. We will have halftime after #16 but first, let's get to #17 and it's Michelle Branch introducing it.
Michelle(in Cardinals jersey):Don't diss me for wearing this jersey ok? It's been a good run for this artist coming up. Here's 3LW.
17. 3LW "Neva Get Enuf" (119, 9@1)+2
16. Jennifer Lopez "Loving You" (14, 4)+4
Me:That's halftime. Here we go with the halftime show. We'll start this with Nivea performing.
*Nivea performs "Don't Mess With My Man"*
Hilarie(in Redskins jersey):A big part of the Super Bowl is the commercials. DRL has the coca-cola commercial which is done by Mya & Common and they are on stage right now performing that.
*Mya & Common perform "Real Compared To What"*
Me:Although we haven't even guessed who will win the Super Bowl, america has their own champion. Here's Kelly Clarkson performing her hit.
*Kelly Clarkson performs "A Moment Like This"*
Hilarie:Our final performance before memory lane is from Amy Studt.
*Amy Studt performs "Misfit"*
Me:Now, it's memory lane. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers crushed 14 of their 18 opponents in the season and playoffs putting them at a 14-4 overall record. The Oakland Raiders devoured their first 4 opponents but lost to their next 4 and won their next 5. They are on a 5 game winning streak and have taken it to a 13-5 overall record.
Hilarie:These teams have made mincemeat of their playoff opponents. Tampa crushed San Francisco and Philadelphia while Oakland crushed New York Jets and Tennesee. This is gonna be good.
Me:Halftime is over. Here we go again. Come back later when we do the top 15.
