Right. I need to just get this off my chest. It is really annoying me that people are saying that Gaga has flopped in her second week and this is looking like the end of the entire era, so I wanted to clear a few things up.

1. The Amazon Deal
The very same people who criticised the Amazon deal are now using the very same figures that they called 'illegal' to criticise the second week drop in US album sales. The drop was expected and I wish people would give her the opportunity to do some promotion and allow album sales to stabilise!

2. The Adele Comparison
Comparing Gaga to Adele is a flawed method of success evaluation for various different reasons. Firstly, Gaga and Adele are totally different artists and appeal to totally different demographics. Secondly, a lot of people are criticising Gaga's second week drop and that Adele is overtaking in album sales. This may be true, but all is not lost. It took Adele 6 weeks to match Gaga's first week sales worldwide. Even when her album was released in the US, her highest WW total was 635.000 and she fell to 452.000 the next week. Gaga is set for a 500.000 total in the second week of inclusion of US sales. Adele has been a very consistent seller and is still pulling huge numbers. People should allow Gaga to have more than 2 weeks on the chart before making conclusions about her fate. You can't judge consistency based on 2 weeks of sales and she has some major WW promo coming up. I wish people would stop comparing the two and allow both to be successful.

Well she's still sitting strong in the Top 10, which is very positive considering the massive increases Judas had when its video was released. Judas went from ~#30 to #11. Could TEOG go from #5 to #1?

I doubt the TEoG's video will have an effect like "Judas". TEoG has higher airplay, and had huge promotion so it's more known to people now. But I still hope it goes #1 ofcourse.

It is sure to have something of an effect though; all of Gaga's videos do. Born This Way was incredibly well known already and it saw an increase when the video was released. Sure, the increase proved pointless because of On The Floor's American Idol premiere, but it can still have a big effect! TEOG's AI isn't that high, so I'm sure there's still room for growth!

I'm sure the video will have an effect, but not as big as Judas'.
