That girl Jackie Evancho is coming in a few weeks, too. I wonder what her sales will look like. She did well during the X-Mas season.

I just don't find it shocking she's selling so well with her first GH, with her amazing catalog and two major hits coming from it to promote it.

we had several reasons to be skeptical that this GHs would not do too good:
- First of all its a greatest hits and in this market greatest hits don't do well by definition. Digital era has affected the greatest hits albums much worse than regular studio albums
- she had virtually no promo (performance-wise) since 2010 AMA mediocre performance
- having two hit singles from the album is not a guarantee of a success for the album at all.
- US still remains a second-rate market for her
- she still doesn't get as much hype as other girls
and despite all that she is at around 750k in the US. Sounds impressive to me. Everything from now on is just a bonus.

Adele hangs on to #1 next week before surely surrendering to Lady Gaga the following week. With album sales off just 1% now vs. last year, can this be the week we break even? Or do we need Gaga to ga-get over the mark? Either way, albums sales should go into June in the black. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend:
Adele 21 (XL/Columbia) 145-155k
*Seether (Wind-up) 55-60k
Now 38 (Capitol/EMI) 50-55k
Jason Aldean (Broken Bow) 28-32k
Christina Perri (Atlantic) 27-30k
Lonely Island (Universal Republic) 25-28k
Jennifer Lopez (Island/IDJ) 25-28k
Mumford & Sons (Glassnote) 25-28k
Beastie Boys (Capitol/EMI) 24-27k
Fleet Foxes (Sub Pop) 21-24k
Justin Bieber Never Say Never (Island/IDJ) 21-24k
*Michael Grimm (Epic) 20-22k
*Danger Mouse & Daniele Luppi (Capitol/EMI) 20-22k
*Il Volo (Geffen) 20-22k
Adele 19 (XL/Columbia) 18-20k
Lemonade Mouth (Walt Disney) 18-20k
Foo Fighters (Roswell/RCA/RMG) 18-20k
Bruno Mars (New Elektra) 18-20k
*Debut (5/19p)
