I love the girl but she clearly wasn't born to do this. That's why the choir is there--to mask her horrid vocals. And she didn't even have any stage presence to make up for it.
1. Katy was invited by Oprah to surprise kids.
2. Choir was there because of Oscars and they decided to perform Firework so that's why Oprah invited Katy to surprise them. And not to mask her "vocals".
3. Katy had concert in Munich 1 day before and 13 hour flight back to LA. Of course she will sound like that and be tired.
