"Deja Vu" was #1 in the UK, top 10 in barely 10 countries and flopped hard elsewhere. It didn't sell even a million worldwide. And let's not forget the controversy and the fans' request for the video to be re-shot.

"Ring The Alarm" charted in only two countries, it peaked barely in the top 60 in Sweden and even though it debuted at #12 in the US and peaked at #11 the next week, it fell like a rock and forced her label to call it a "US only" single and rush-release "Irreplaceable" a little over a month after "Ring The Alarm" was released.

"Ring The Alarm" was a complete BOMB. It wasn't released anywhere outside the US besides the UK where it peaked at #112. "Deja Vu" didn't do better than "HIAM" either, except the UK, where even then the chart runs are almost similar besides Britney not going #1.

So take the 'arguably better' elsewhere.

It has sold 165.000 copies in the UK and 531.000 copies in the US. Around 100,000 copies elsewhere. It was outsold by "Hold It Against Me" everywhere, soon to be by "Till The World Ends" as well.

The B'Day era was a mess, singles-wise, until Irreplaceable became one of the biggest hits of the decade. The album did fine beforehand though.
