It's hilarious that whenever people are asked to judge Gaga's status, the uncomfortable immediately proclaim we should wait until her next album....


When she was smashing with The Fame the naysayers were quick to remind us to wait for the second album to see if she can maintain the hype, then TFM happened and we all know how that turned out. Ironically, they're now saying we should wait until BTW comes out and are seemingly oblivious to the fact the lead single is breaking records left and right.

Lady Gaga is not a ****ing Legend. It's either you're brutally delusional or your conception of 'Legend' is wrong

The only Legends in the current generation are Madonna, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Cyndi Lauper, and few others. Britney is an Icon who will soon become a Legend. Many people do consider her one, but the fact that she ******* so effortlessly in a decade and has gained herself an untouchable name in Pop culture and did all the things Madonna and the rest have been doing in half the time they'd been around, sort of makes people hesitant to call her a Legend because at that rate, by the time she's 50 she will be an actual Goddess.

Gaga is semi-Icon. She SHIITED. But ******** isn't really hard today, what really is hard is ******** for a DECADE. If Gaga does, then you can start calling her a Legend. She's ight for the time being.

Beyonce already is one.. if Britney isn't on this list, than she shouldn't be either.

Lady GaGa has already done so much stuff in so little time.. I know she won't be going anywhere anytime soon.. she's done things that Bey, Britney, and all the other legends have not done, and in some ways, not even been close to doing. Ever since 'Just Dance' went #1 on Billboard Hot 100, she's been on top. She's not coming down for a LONGGG while.
Justin Bieber? Hopefully he'll be gone soon, he's already been here for too long.
Katy Perry is great in singles, but in the other areas in music (awards, albums, etc.) she isn't as much.
Rihanna has great single sales and album sales, very popular. She'd definitely be the 3rd best choice.
Taylor Swift would be 4th, she's done 1 million albums, she has so many loyal fans, she loves what she does and it seems like she won't be stopping anytime even CLOSE to soon.

Ke$ha, though I love her, seems like a fad to most people. She could probably still be huge with the hit pop dance singles she puts out but I can see people getting over her at some time.
