Nelly Furtado JK, her break was too long & I think she will struggle to return unless something miraculous happens. Timbaland won't get her huge hits anymore.
There really isn't any competition here. GaGa is the biggest thing right now but I still have some confidence that Britney can do great if she does a little promotion. Maybe not as well as GaGa but thats okay. Especially after 13 years in the industry.
I'm sorry but it's semi-obvious GaGa is going to be more successful this year. Not just moreso than Britney, but any other musical act. I say that without bias.
While that seems obvious, you never know. Britney could pull amazing numbers and outsell Gaga, or a newcomer could take Gaga's shine for part of the year.
I think Lady GaGa & Beyoncé will have the best year. Britney will be close behind. Jessie J will probably be one of the best-selling new artists (I don't know how it will sell in the US though- Price Tag will not sell her albums).
