Its initial success is primarily because of her strong fanbase, isn't that only logical? There's not many people that could open with huge numbers like she's doing on a global scale. The song shot straight to number one a day after it premièred, that's impressive. Most songs are delayed for a week or two to allow airplay to build up. Britney's gaining rapidly on radio. I'm not trying to downplay her success although I realise it may come across that way. The song has the potential to be her biggest hit since BOMT. I'm not personally surprised that Britney has managed to sell extremely well from the get-go, I'm more interested to see what its sales will be like in a month or two from now, and whether or not it will have longevity.
Womanzier was her comeback single and it was nowhere near as succesful at this point. There are many artists with establised fanbases, but i've never seen anything like this before. The song is gonig to have longeivty as she's still go the video to release and promotion to do, right now this is off the back of her name and an amazing song.
I think it's going to. It probably won't debut at #1, but jump to it next week.
How so? It's selling triple as much as Grenade. If Grenade is at 300k digitally, HIAM should score 900k. It's an exaggeration, but still, she's smoking him so bad that even his massive airplay won't touch her.

Twiiter has been a big factor in this songs' success. Everything is much faster nowadays than it was even two years ago. It would NOT be selling like it as if Britney did not have so many dedicated fans. This song is going to set records and I don't think they're going to be broken anytime soon.

That's not how it works. It's not like songs didn't triple the popbars of the #2 song before (Mine, Not Afraid, and at one point, LTWYL)

Ofc it wouldn't and i never said it would be. But it's obvious the general public and non-stans are loving the song to.

He means it's going to chart on the back of its airplay alone, and climb to number one next week.
