The reason for the huge updates is simple. This time last week was the peak of the Holiday Freeze. Recurrents gained a lot this time last week thanks to year-end countdowns, and most currents barely gained or lost spins. Today, since all stations put their lists back to normal, then that makes the update HUGE today. This will continue throughout the rest of this week. This is also known as the January Meltdown.

BTW, here's what's happening tonight on Top 40:

• "Animal," "Love Like Woe," and "Mine" went recurrent.
• "Shake" and "Whip My Hair" were purged.
• "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" enters the top ten.

Yes, WMN? will continue getting large updates, as well as the other songs, for the next 5-7 days. The January Meltdown is definitely here and in full swing. Expect large gains tomorrow as well, and then they will slowly start to get smaller and return to normal by the end of the week into next weekend.
