It's like she went backwards, got more childish instead of maturing. it sucks because she was so promising. Maybe the song will grow on me and maybe the album will be amazing. I don't have high hopes though.

Me too. I was a pretty big fan of her music, back when she was really popular. But I agree, it all started to go downhill. I did like "Girlfriend" at first, but looking back, it wasn't all that.
And the thing is, while she could go back to her original sound, she's nearly 30 now and she's not going to be able to sell to the same audience. Most kids/teens nowadays aren't into that type of music anymore. It was popular back then, but not so much now.
Yeah, 'What The Hell' is kind of a step in the wrong direction. 'Alice' sounded pretty good, so I was hoping she was going to be doing something atleast a *little* more mature than a song that basically states it's fine to cheat on someone because you 'want to have a good time' and have been 'good all your life'.
