I'm not worried about Loud. It is selling just as well as I expected and Black Friday is next week (Loud will be on sale for $6.99 at Best Buy) so I'm sure her drop next week will be small.

Loud's sales arent that surprising i kinda think she rushed it the era too soon & she barely promoted it here until like 2 days ago but it will do well over the holiday season.

That's a lie. HDD counts digital sales. And they are always off by a couple thousand, and VERY rare by astronomical ones.

And Susan is a strong physical seller. Her audience doesn't buy albums off iTunes.

EDIT: And they were off 85k with Blueprint, and that's because his sales were growing throughout the week.

HDD is off sometimes, they're human. They absolutely count digital sales. I believe the only thing HDD doesn't account for are things like QVC.

And people overestimate the importance of digital album sales. Despite the growth of iTunes, when it comes to album sales digital is still < physical with few exceptions.

The only reason Jay-Z was so off was because he changed his release date at the last minute. He was supposed to release on September 11th but pushed the album up to the 8th due to illegal downloading. Even Billboard mentioned that Jay-Z could do anywhere between 300k and 500k due to the date change.

The predictions I posted were made after he released. I think Jay released on a Friday. The HDD prediction were made that Wednesday after his album was already out.

No, it was released on a Tuesday. It was supposed to be released on that Friday but was pushed up at the last minute due to piracy. That's why there was such a huge margin of error with Jay-Z's predictions.

The margin of error is never as big as it was with Jay-Z. In fact the biggest I can recall was Subo's last week. They're generally on target. Rihanna could crack 200k. She won't go much higher than that.

Rihanna's sales are good. Her album will sell well over time, & the second week drop won't be big.

you know what i don't get...LOUD went no.1 within hours of its release right.....and it can stay there at no.1 at least sunday which is the last day for sales.....why can't she go no.1 .........i don't get that...at allllllllll i am ****ing confused as a duck.......or do they mean that when taken physical sales into account SUBO and the ten year old girl will outsell rihanna.......but would their physical sale be THAT much

Well, nobody young cares for Susan, and we know that old people don't use iTunes. Old people don't buy singles, they buy albums.

Columbia has yet another Glee entry, with the Christmas album hitting the street, slated for between 150-160k.

Glee is selling really well ... that's a very good debut number for a very competitive week.

How does Susan do it?
