Well, i'm not really a fan of charice, but i don't shade her intensely unlike the beyonce stans but i'm pretty sure what you were saying that charice is that popular around the world, is something the local media(especially ABS-CBN) wants you to think. It's media brainwash darling.

She wasn't really that iconic, and didn't made that much impact as much as her more popular peers, i mean if she was, Bionic wouldn't be selling this low... And aside from that, you can see how much people doesn't care bout her, she filed for a divorce but the level of controversy she got was abbysmal. If she acquired cultural relevancy, people will still talk bout her, talk bout what she has done, but she's like fading into darkness every minute... It just goes to show how much impact she caused for the past 10 years, nil.
