That was a certain phaze of her career & at least she gained influence from an actress, not another singer. Plus, she was creative enough to cause a revolution for women, according to sociologists. Aside of her Marilyn phaze, she was original enough to create her own style which defined the fashion trends for females in the 80s. In other words, she became a rare example of a true fashion icon. And after her Marilyn phaze, she continued to experiment with new images in the 90s which were not explored by other females. Let's not even talk about her decisive impact in the art of music video and in the music industry in general, which allows the existence of your fave today.
