I haven't read everything yet, but I did get to the Rihanna vs. GaGa part. I think we are getting a little too ahead of ourselves. I'm a big fan of GaGa but what if The Fame/Monster ends up being the equivalent of Rihanna's GGGB? We all know what happened with the next album

Their impacts happened in two totally different times in music. You cannot possibly compare them beyond the fact that they were extremely popular/successful without seeming bias. In 1999 everyone wearing their T-shirts, buying all of their cassettes/posters/albums, etc. is the equivalent to today buying all their digital singles, seeing their concert tours everytime they come to your city and blogging about them everyday on sites like these.
