It's usually always been these particular women. Even Nicki -- without bangs, she is pretty much disastrous. Tyra's wig game has always been impeccable, though; you should give her that.

Ding-ding. I think the usage of extensions and weaves by Caucasian women has somewhat outnumbered the usage by black women.

No. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble, but Christina and Jessica Simpson have donned lace wigs for many years on end; Britney as well, though less frequently. (Yes, even BEFORE 2007.) These are only prominent names that come to mind easily.
We will never know!
African-american hair is easily prone to breakage if excessively brushed and styled etc. That's why so many african-american women wear weaves in the first place.
