How is it not fair to Ke$ha to get attacked for this when she's using teen deaths?

GaGa has probably done it for her own benefit, but she'd never use these gay teens suicides as an incentive for a new single.

Some people would argue that Gaga is doing it for her own benefit too.

Again though, she's been doing it for years now and didn't jump on the bandwagon of trying to capitalize on one specific huge media storm, but still, it's hard for us not to be biased.

No one could argue that GaGa is using gay teen suicides, because she isn't and won't.

A lot of people, including here, would say otherwise.

As for Ke$ha, if you read Dr. Luke's interview from a couple months ago, her schedule was crazy, even then they didn't know how on Earth they would get this album out because of how little time they had. He had no idea how he'd get her to record these songs. So I doubt that they managed to write and record an entirely new song in the last couple weeks.

It's obvious they just took her party song with the most association to this media issue (even though there's no association at all to the issue, the song could easily have been on Animal), and tried to sell it off as something they did to honor the dead gay teens.

I just disagree with the way she's trying to use the teen suicides to promote the message of her song.

To me it's just really cheap way of capitalizing on these kids deaths and I just find it to be very wrong and awful.

If sharing that opinion makes me seem like I'm "so pressed" by Ke$ha's presence, then so be it. It's not right in my eyes and I don't apologize or regret stating my feelings about it.

I somewhat agree in that this might be a move to appeal to the gays (but not exclusively) and that the song itself, lyrically, shows no direct connection to them.

Hence why I definitely disagree with the notion that she's 'using their deaths to capitalize on them'.

A&R I still await a reply to what I've said and quoted on the previous page, in case you still think that way.
