^Good job! I was wondering if someone would guess it right...
Excellent debut and #1, by the way. And "Sunrise" is Top 10 now!!!!
Here's what to expect for next week:
* A short-lived countdown debut from the husband of a supermodel who is currently a part of an Emmy-nominated reality show on Bravo. (How many weeks do you think this video's gonna last?)
* And we say goodbye to Mr. Nicole Richie & co., who obviously just couldn't hold on to their spot.
And this week's debut:
Usher featuring Ludacris & Lil Jon, "Yeah!" (I'm surprised it's not on his VEVO account...)
Flavas of the Week
Enrique Iglesias featuring Kelis, “Not in Love”
Josh Kelley, “Everybody Wants You”
Toby Lightman, “Devils and Angels”
VH1 Music Video Adds for the Week
Beginning Monday, March 10
Hoobastank, "The Reason"
Alicia Keys, "If I Ain't Got You"
The Polyphonic Spree, "Light and Day"
Kylie Minogue, "Red Blooded Woman"
Nelly Furtado, "Try"
Everlast, "White Trash Beautiful"
Gavin DeGraw, "I Don't Want to Be"
Good debut!! And EXCELLENT #1
My apologies for not updating this yesterday, but posting the Latin Grammy nominees took a while.
Here's what to expect for next week:
* More Evanescence domination.
* We end our relative drought of debuts by having THREE in the same week!
>> One by a female R&B artist who just dropped to one of the bottom 10 spots this week.
>> Another by a female singer, songwriter, and festival organizer asking herself "how stupid could [she] have been."
>> And a last debut by a bad boy of rock, rap, and apparently now country, showing us how different his life would've been had his music career failed.
* And of course there will be three fall-offs, which, just like the debuts, are by two females and one male solo artist.
"Stupid" + "If I Ain't Got You" debuting in the same week!!
Here's what to expect for next week:
* A brand new #1 video (I'm sure it's fairly predictable which one it will be).
* Two countdown debuts:
>> One featuring a California rock band's botched attempt at stealing a rare gem from a pawn shop.
>> The other featuring Miss Damita Jo on a leisurely stroll (and bus ride) across town on her way to meet with her new beau (in real life, that is).
* And we say goodbye to two videos: One by a group and the other by a female singer.
No one has a guess for the other debut??? Let me give you another clue: This song was HUGE back in 2004, yet the group never really had another hit anywhere. I don't think anyone knows the reason for that still...
I'm still updating tomorrow regardless of whether or not someone guesses it. I was gonna do it tonight, but I'm too tired after seeing Janelle Monáe live tonight
So I kinda fell behind on this... "The Reason" (shame they kinda went nowhere after this song)
Here's what to expect for next week:
* An impressive +6 jump for one of our debuts this week and a not-so-impressive +1 one for the other (can you guess which is which?)
* Two cameo-filled countdown debuts, including:
>> One by a group that has been dominating the VH1 Top 20 since late 2003, with a cameos from a then-American Idol judge, a comedian of Wild 'n Out fame, and Diddy's manservant, among others.
>> The other by Mrs. Carter, with a cameo by a fellow countdown artist, whom I'll call Mr. Raymond (think 2004 Best Female Video winner at the VMAs).
* And we say goodbye to two solo artists this week, a male and a female.
