But it's true that you can't have it easy and be the top diva. Look at Mariah. The only bump in the road was the 2001 breakdown, which was minor compared to what other women went through. She's back, but she's not really back, always teetering on the back of her last single. She is not a legend because she is still trying to compete with women little more than half her age. She has always had the numbers, she had always been consistent up to Glitter, and this is where she is today.
