And well deserved, she definetly revolutionized the Music videos. Although I'm not a big fan of Telephone and Alejandro video, Bad Romance is the best video of the past 10 years
Awards shows, from the VMAs to the Oscars and everything in between, like to reward people sometimes. So sometimes they don't nominate or give you an award because you necessarily deserve it, but because overall you deserve it due to your body of work.
Because of her contribution to music videos, MTV probably wanted to make her the most nominated, and if that meant a nod for Video Phone, then so be it.
