Lies, lies, lies. Many girls I know, hate Rihanna and love Chris Brown.
Plus Run This Town wasnt even her song, and went to number 2 .
And the only reason Britney was still successful with the Blackout era is because of her mess of those years.

Don't try to reason with their delusions, he is just giving excuses so the flop wont look as bad Now he's resorted to making racist generalizations I just cant

I'm not sure what Urban bases "use," but I do know that urban doesn't sell as much as generic rhythmic-pop stuff and dance-pop on iTunes. Maxwell, for example, didn't go anywhere with "Pretty Wings" on iTunes, but it was incredibly huge at its format. You can tell what age range and demographic buy stuff from iTunes.

^ so you saying urban fans don't purchase music ? Well she is going to flop then isn't she. Because she has pratically no sales, and her radio plays aren't gonna get her into the top 50 alone, meaning a flop for the first single.
And plus i don't think entierly true that urban don't buy singles, Drake is doing well, And Niki Manji has manged top 40 on itunes and ciara hasn't

That explains why every single one of her albums prior to Blackout were #1's. Has Rihanna done it YET?
P.S. Run This Town was a collaborative effort.

Ciara wasnt big enough to have a comeback and her last album (Makings of Me) was still was more successful than Fantasy Ride.

"Makings of Me" was also released in 2006, when a lot of artists were still selling millions.
2009 was a COMPLETELY different story.
& y'all actin' like "Ride" has peaked or is falling. Its getting consistent jumps every week & is nowhere near its peak so I don't see how y'all are saying it's 'stalling'.

Did I say that? I said most urban listeners don't use iTunes and it's true, because if they did, "Ride" would be in the Top 50 on iTunes. Don't switch up my words.

Actually Blackout was supposed to ALSO debut at no.1, but due to some last minute changes in Billboard's strategies, it debuted at no.2

Drake is doing well on Rhythmic and Pop, so of course his singles would be high on iTunes; Nicki is doing well on Rhythmic as well. And like Shav said "Ride" peaked at #38 on iTunes. Get yours facts together.

Jennifer Lopez doesn’t even register anymore. Ditto Hilary Duff. Beyoncé’s hitmaking reputation seems to be safe and secure, and Pink and Kelly Clarkson should continue to sell respectably, if more modestly. I’m not so sure about Avril Lavigne, whose Alice In Wonderland single, “Alice,” topped out at No. 71. And if Britney Spears were to return tomorrow with a new album, where would she fit in?
The good news is that if you’re no big fan of Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Miley Cyrus or Katy Perry, a few years from now, only one of them probably will still be invading the charts on a regular basis (my money’s on Gaga), and the others will have been replaced by an entirely new crop of female singers on the two-to-five-year superstar plan.

She would debut at #1 (both the first single and album, check the charts from the past two years ). Just goes to show you Billboard will hire anyone nowadays to work for them.
Nevermind that Britney tried to single-handedly ruin her career during the Blackout era with poor decision-making from left to right. Even at rock bottom the girl had sold 2.5+ million WW with most people in the business struggling to just sell a million WW. That's a testament not only to just her fanbase, but also the brand that is "BRITNEY." Love her or hate her, you will always be curious about her. People have long tried to ride off Britney as a one-hit wonder or that she'll never continue to make it big in the industry, yet year after year she cranks out the hits and prove the naysayers wrong.
The fact that Britney hasn't promoted her past two records no where near the magnitude of her contemporary counterparts speaks volumes about her and her status.
