I don't care for Camilla or 5th Harmony but I think this is a BIG mistake
5th Harmony have only scored 1 top 10 hit. The album 7/27 performed poorly overrall as well as the tour.
Camilla is currently in the top 10 of the Hot 100 but only as a FEATURE
This is NOT a good position to start a solo career in
The two women I can think of who started in girl groups and went on to successful solo careers are Diana Ross and Beyonce. The difference however was the DC had 4 #1 hits and The Supremes had scored 12 #1 hits. Diana and Beyonce also benefit from the fact that social media wasn't around and their fanbases weren't aware 24/7 of what they were doing.
Camilla's situation reminds me alot of Diana's from what I'm reading. I'm guessing she probably wasn't getting along with the girls and had all but branched out. I don't know how far back youre taste in music goes but for Motown enthusiasts like myself I know that Berry Gordy originally planned for Diana Ross to go solo in 1967. And this was after the Supremes had already scored 7 #1 hits I believe. He however decided to keep her in the group and change the name to 'Diana Ross and The Supremes' to give her more exposure and leverage. By 1969 The Supremes was basically a brand name. Diana was the only Supreme present at recordings while random Motown extras would be called in to sing background

she'd eventually go solo in 1970, score her first solo #1 later that year and of course go on to become the Diana Ross we know today. That's called smart marketing and a PLAN. It takes TIME, not 2 albums sis.
Poor girl isn't gonna make it far, but neither will 5H or 4H now.
