You know what? You do have some sort of point. I guess the main problem is that, unlike the Ci-Squad, The Hive is not really funny in the slightest, which is why when The Hive "drag" and "shade" artists, it just comes off bitter and insecure, as opposed to when the Ci-Squad "drag" and "shade," they tend to have the entire forum on the floor in knots.
In any case, Ashanti doesn't deserve all of this. P.S. "1 Thing" > "Crazy In Love." Happy Holidays.

What can I say? The Hive is a much larger fanbase, with a wider array of characters.
There's not a feud. So the OP title is misleading. Pretty sure nobody was taking this seriously and everyone was joking around until some idiots probably came in here and tried to use this stupid "opportunity" to take shots at Bey with Ashanti. The hive most likely denied whatever they said and once again, it's the Bey fans that are somehow the guilty parties Do people just assume the worst of us? damn.
"Rivalry" was the interviewer's choice of words
I just took a page out of his book. So I don't think the title is misleading at all
but a random ass user who is not even an Aaliyah stan said her name and y'all start tugging at her wig and then act surprised when people make threads about y'all HATING Aaliyah. Can y'all at least try to drag her when a REAL stan tries it
girl this thread is more about ashanti vs bey
ain't nobody talking about "li"
Why are you posting two songs that CiL sounds nothing similar to and weren't even hits and a song from the 70s that CiL sampled as evidence of it sounding like songs dominating the music scene in 2002-2003?
The fact you think they don't sound a like is a kiii.....
Bey would have been other artist that Ashanti would have killed right there and then but lucky for Bey, Beyonce the person was already famous. There was nothing fresh about CIL- Bey just took other people's sounds, image, vibe and style but the good thing is she could back it up because she was talented and famous.
okay yeah it was. The article says it's on the soundtrack tho but initially many knew that was the initial direction she was going to go in. But she didn't. And Crazy In Love ended up being her first single from the album. Why is this even a topic of discussion? This thread has gone soooooo left
the article clearly states how Work it out is her current single promoting her planned 2002 debut solo album not just a lil side project for a movie soundtrack like a hive was claiming earlier after someone said how Beyonce wasn't really able to breakthrough solo wise in 2002 (that time ashanti was on fire which the hive acts like she was never on par/bigger than bey) which is why I brought up that article so nah it's not sooooooo left

1.
a state of prolonged mutual hostility, typically between two families or communities, characterized by violent assaults in revenge for previous injuries.
So embarrassing that (part of) a fanbase would hide behind the success of "Lemonade," which is an ode specifically to black female empowerment, while simultaneously attempting to discredit every black female musician that isn't Beyonce.

..............and this is why the hive has to argue because people tell LIES like this...
No one was stopping Beyoncé, her breakout. Period.

You are really smokin' that ooh wee if you legit think CiL is a jack of Can't Nobody. Even crazier to suggest that the song from the 70s that was sampled and credited is evidence of Bey hopping on a trendy 2002-2003 sound. Not even bothering with that other song that not only sounds nothing like CiL, but was released weeks prior. And you still have yet to support your initial allegation that it somehow jacked Ashanti or J.Lo.
