No, because it was originally meant to be for Zayn only. They probably just thought about ways to make it sell more and since Jack produced it they asked Taylor to join and made it into "Zayn & Taylor". Zayn even mentioned that Gigi asked Taylor first.
Also, as far as I understood it, the track was basically finished, she probably didn't contribute much to it, maybe only the bullet line and the bridge. It was just a quick single she was asked to be a part of. I wonder if the Drake collab will be similar or if it will be a song written by her from the start.

I think what happened was that Jack and Sam wrote the song, Taylor heard the unfinished song at Jack's because she hung out with him and Lorde or something, she of course said that she liked it, Jack thought "Why not feature Taylor on it?", told Zayn about his idea, then Gigi first suggested it since they're friends which led to Zayn asking her to join.
