People are saying that given her shady antics on social media in the past, the Hive’s reaction to this, believing that it was something she’d intentionally like were justified in previous behaviour.

So to blame the Hive for assuming that a star (who admits to being petty about things) was petty is misguided.

I agree 100% that this needs to stop, but saying "especially from..." either one is enacting the very behaviour you're denouncing. No base is more responsible than the other.
