Gosh, I hope there's no remix / duet version in the making. It would defeat the whole point of the song, and like others said, it would scream "desperation".
The song is perfect as it is, the GP's response is great, it's selling well on its own, and she's slaying the performances, I don't need a Billboard top 10 position to justify that. It just shows once again that radio stations are biased and out of touch, hopefully chart formulas will soon be adjusted to reflect their actual (lack of) credibility.
