50 Cent's I'm The Man Goes Gold Without Hitting The Hot 100
Should go platinum next year, would this be one of the first songs to go platinum without charting on the Hot 100? This was an independent single too, is billboard's formula still iffy?
it has 18 views on YT, and 28 streams on spotify.
assuming that all of the streams are from US, then it's around 30.6k copies sold
and obviously it hasn't sold enough digital wise if it's uncharted on Hot 100
where do all the sales come from?
obviously it's not impossible to go Gold, or even Platinum without charting, because many singles have done that before. I believe for example Lush Life was gold before charting in Hot 100, but it has been around the bottom of digital + do well in streaming for a long time to do that. something is fishy here

Your math is off 150 streams = 1 single sale towards RIAA certification and those streams have to come from the USA.
So I am the only person on the whole of ATRL who's been following this song? The Chris Brown remix was far more popular than the original, that's obviously where it's streams came from.

The original is way better though it's about a 60/40 split between the OG and remix based on streams.
