Usually I keep it really short, and I'm really a more quiet ATRL member, but I do need to get this out of my chest.
The world DID see history in the making today, it did see change, people got the change they wanted, but is it good change? Time will tell.
My assumption is that it won't, but that's just me. Today was an interesting day, i personally am shocked, surprised, confused, but most of all sad.
It's amazing how rough and stressful this entire election process has been, not just for americans but the entire world who was watching, and we have this conclusion; a very gray, sad ending. And i'm sorry Trump supporters here but it's the truth.
Say what you want about Clinton, but you cannot deny that your candidate's campaign and his supporters have been filled with hatred, racism, bigotry, discrimination, sexism, white supremacy, etc. I could go on and on.
What shocks me the most is that I bet NONE of you knew the impact that this would have on minorities. I have MANY friends; women, black, LGBT, asian, latino, etc. who are just so confused and heartbroken, they are literally scared for their lives. We saw the results today; the White vote completely slayed and is probably the reason why Trump won, maybe a few other factors.
We see the effects already happening, stock markets crashing, over here in Mexico, 1 dollar is now 21 pesos, that's 3 more than it was THIS MORNING! and it's only midnight of November 9th over here.
It's also so frustrating how you had a killer president that so many people wish they had like Barack Obama (now before you go all in the attack, he made A LOT of progress), and for 8 years you made a good steady path to moving forward….and all that went down the drain, all because those drump people wanted to "make america great again", whatever that means. It's horrifying.
I don't think people know the magnitude of this election and the result. It kills me to know that so many people will be affected over this outcome, and I don't mean just in the US.
I honestly could go on but then i'll just ramble, and NO I don't wanna argue with anyone, don't wanna create a conversation, I just wanted to get that out of my chest. It's a sad day
