Plz stop using spoiler tags on stuff that happened in the premiere episode, it already aired. It's not necessary and can lead to actual spoilers from upcoming episodes being accidentally read.

The actual scene was vile, sickening, heart-breaking, visceral, so the scene itself didn't disappoint. That was incredibly hard to watch, and the fact that when you think the moment is finally over, they pull the ultimate surprise and that was very well done. I legit gasped. I'm going to miss Glenn, even though he hasn't had much to do for the last few seasons. Also, the moment when Rick was this close to cut Carl's arm off was very effective as well, because of what happened right before. You believed it could have actually happened, so it worked imo.

But I just don't understand why they made us wait 20 minutes to show us who was killed. Talk about a messy pacing and unnecessary suspense. We were waiting the whole summer for it, we didn't need another 20 minutes of nonsensical set-up. I found the opening very anti-climatic and that is one of the show's main faults.

But Daryl punching Negan which ultimately lead to another characters death. Daryl deserves all the hate coming his way now. The writers did Norman Reedus so wrong here. It's like what was the point of him punching Negan if he had already murdered the victim what good was possibly going to come from that? You literally have 100's of armed men surrounding you, was he asking to die? And if so it backfired so badly.

Can they please kill Carol and Daryl? They've had their run but I'm way over them.

I really hope they follow along the comic storyline, that'll get interesting. thought Rick was gonna lose his hand like in the comics.

I wonder if they're making Daryl stupid so that there will be will be less backlash and "if daryl dies we riot!" In case they want to kill him at some point down the line.
