i don't think what i said was wrong? her music wasn't doing much better than her contemporaries at the time. avril, britney, p!nk, shakira, mariah, etc. were all either selling more or on par with DIL and B'day and they'd started their solo careers before her.
Britney's personal troubles, Xtina and Avril's long breaks, etc. all helped Bey's star shine because her competition was nowhere to be found.
I didn't say her early solo years weren't impressive, but i don't think she was treated like the BEYONCE she is today.

I would say yes for Blackout, but by Circus Beyonce was ahead of Britney.

Beyonce has been more commercially successful, but she had to rebrand her career to do it.

None of this makes sense. You're actually trying to downplay Bey's success because she actually put in effort, not to mention most of the mess you use as excuses are either myths or are totally irrelevant.

Britney felt bigger because her celebrity was bigger but I believe Bey ended up selling a little bit more for each era.

Beyoncé's album sales are comparable to her peers and she's even doing better than most of them this decade but you did try.

So name the pop star who sold more, but not the one who sold more ?

That's more or less what I was saying in an earlier post to that Taylor stan. And all those women (except Avril) started solo in the soundscan era where album sales were much bigger, especially for solo acts.
Sorry to have jumped down your throat but there is a general tone of "she's only popular now because there aren't many others still slaying" from detractors and it drives me up the wall because it's just not true. She was far from a flop last decade. She was everywhere, doing everything like her peers were. I think too many people are confusing her "it girl" status, which she's been past for some time now, with her newfound pop icon status, which she just came into. To drag or try to discredit her for still being successful and still striving for better is petty.

I should've asked how many artists have sold much more than that since 2003 but you get the gist of what I was saying. The answer is very very few.

Britney fans AGAIN trying it ? they ll never learn....
Beyoncé is bigger than the other one since she launched her solo career.... She had more iconic hits, more album sales, more tour grossing, y all have to deal with it and stop living in denial for your own sanity...
I cant at people saying CIRCUS was bigger than IASF when the latter sold more than the double, had more hits, more impact, more everything.... the ultimate delusion
