This is not really that weird. Tons of people are inspired by dead people in history.

I don't know. Examples of albums inspired by dead relatives (who aren't mothers or fathers) that they never met? I can understand being inspired by a mother who died in labour giving birth to you, but an aunt who died a decade before you were born? Her father couldn't possibly be grieving 20 years later (i.e. around the age that a 10 year old Stefanie could possibly understand it). She's just not genuine.

Just admit you do not like Gaga's album. Don't try to justify it. It's okay to dislike Gaga's music because 1) you do not like it or 2) she is seen as competition for one of your favorite artists (Britney Spears).

i think the reason people are so furious is because they were hoping for this to be a commercial failure that proves gaga is over once and for all. but the fact that despite not having a hit or strong promotion she can open with solid numbers means that there will always be room for gaga to come back. generic max martin/luke *** buckets? not so much

I think the numbers are good but keep in mind the monsters went through two tragic singles released and don't want to compare her against the Taylor's, Katy's adeles, beyonce's they'd rather Britney and I've seen meghan, ariana, selena brought up.

We already know what Taylor Beyonce and adele can do. Katy's more than capable of hits and album sales...being less than 10 years into her career.

I think it's a good thing they have a victory battle. The war unfortunately is most likely lost. She did start out ahead of her peers and she's left behind. An icon that still won't become a legend.

I'm lowkey feeling the song with Florence. The one she ripped off Elton John's Bennie and the jets on.

a) I do not like the album, I don't need to hide it. Doesn't mean I can't discuss it
b) Britney hasn't been one of my favourite artists for a few years now. Just a legacy act for me now. She's useless beyond saving.

After hearing the whole album for a few days, Perfect Illusion was not a bad lead single choice tbh.

It's just her self-sabotaging ways (ie: the vocals) getting in the way as usual, but it's not like the other songs are radio smashes
