Everything you said is accurate, especially the bolded. It doesn't take long to see that ATRL =/= reality, especially with regards to some of the things y'all think are iconic and some of the people y'all think are legendary. It's kinda like an echo chamber where lies have been built up by the type of people to frequent this site as truths, people who disagree get laughed down and dismissed as delusional by the majority, and then when something which conflicts with the lie gets presented (ie: how beyonce gets treated in the real world vs. being a local, hitless, bionic and Britney Jean since 2008-level flop who is unknown outside of the US), ATRL users can't cope and lash out: "overrated! PR! Protected by BLM!"
To answer the question more directly, yes, many of the users here really hate beyonce, as evidenced by the dedication some have to run into her threads degrading her on a daily basis. It happens to every pop girl to some extent, but I think it tends to be stronger against people ATRL "doesn't see it" for, which tends to be highly successful r&b or urban acts who don't dabble heavily in pop or edm, male acts and/or rappers whom they don't find attractive, etc. Of course, some like Lady Gaga also get it pretty bad too (worse now, because Joanne's performance has been more "attackable" than Lemonade or ST eras so far).
It's all kinda unhealthy, and also ironic on a site that often runs to feminism to excuse their faves getting ****ed on stage or having sexual videos and material, yet spends all day denigrating, **** shaming, body shaming and just generally harboring animosity towards women
