@Wonderland this is the first time ever I'm not 100% convinced Hillary will win now. Ever since she opened her campaign April of 2015 I was convinced she has this in the bag but honestly I don't trust white people to see through Trump's charade. Unfortunate but true

That said, the Democrats have become the party of minorities. With the big backlash against BLM that would have been difficult for ANY Democrat to shake. Backlash to "Obama's America" is what makes a President Trump possible.

Like even my father (who I used to really look up to as having near perfect opinions on pretty much everything when I was younger) has been saying some pretty dodgy things recently when I've been home with him and Trump has been on TV. "It's not racist it's just they're getting too much of a voice now and make everything about race and people are just over it".

It's kind of scary to me as if I had never gone away to university I seriously think I wouldn't have issues with the stuff he's saying... or I'd at least be far more likely to be thinking that way.

Obama/McCain were practically tied around this time as well and we saw what happened.

Of course the economy crashed which caused alot of people to flock to Obama but he still had a big enough win over McCain that I still think he would have won by a big margin even if it hadn't.

What's hurting Hillary the most this year is Gary Johnson and Jill Stein. Two candidates just as bad as Trump. Johnson got the sexist neckbeards who want free drugs, etc and Stein got the uninformed hippies from Bernie's group of supporters.

Instinct says that those voters will go home. We'll see if that happens this year.

Imagine the mess if Trump won PA, WI and MI but Hillary snatched Texas and won by 2 votes

Hillary needs to just say she's going to do this. We know it's not going to happen. Just steal it from Bernie and get those supporters. She needs millennials and this is what they loved most about Bernie.

I know she adopted a free college plan for a certain income bracket but **** it. People don't want specifics. Just say free college for everyone and smile while you do it.

I said it a million times and Ill say it again, not picking Warren was her biggest mistake. Yes she would have overshadowed Hillary but after all of the crap that's happened in the past few weeks, that would have been a good thing for her.

I'm hoping they see how close it is and decide to do the right thing when it comes time to actually vote.

Johnson and Stein aren't winning. I could see if one of them were close to the other candidates like Perot in the 90's, but that's not the case here. Neither are anywhere close to the other candidates, so why waste your vote?

Yeah, the fear of Trump still isn't real to some people. I think we'll see some consolidation as November gets closer. Obama will also be on the trail consistently, and he's her biggest asset.

Ehhh, idk. Kaine securing VA is a big deal. I don't know what Warren does outside of exciting Twitter. The people who are voting Johnson/Stein think she's a sellout now.

Trump is cruising to victory in Ohio and is trending towards snatching her in Colorado. Colorado sends him over and above 270. Woop!

Also it just MAKES SENSE for the future of the Democratic party. Like Benzene (I think it was Benzene?) pointed out the new Democratic alliance is basically minorities, women and college-educated whites. So let's just chuck kids through college and hope that once on the other side they'll be more inclined to vote for the Dems.

It's all true what you're saying about Hillary. She is a weak candidate, as is Trump. As a matter of fact, neither would have a shot at winning if they were facing a different candidate.

I still have faith in Hillary though. I still have faith that Americans won't go for Trump.

People say this but I disagree. Trump has a special appeal to non-college whites that no other Republican could've mimicked.

As for Hillary, the only candidate better would've been Biden. Bernie would've scared off centrist Dems. Though I think a Trump/Sanders race would've seen a legitimate 3rd party entrant like Bloomberg.
