I grew up in the hood tho. My neighborhood was basically Latino and Black that word was used in a friendly way that's how I know what im talking about. Are you black? If so you never seen a Latino say or been acknowledge by that word?

I see/hear this every once in a while and I find it deplorable.

It's a word that, in my opinion, no one should use (and I happen to be a Black Latina). It is just ugly.

Well it depends on the lationx in question. You guys need to understand that being latino isn't a race so there are whit,black and mixed latinos,etc. Some are visible mixed with black and thus can say it but others that aren't shouldn't be saying it. Like Jlo can no longer say it and after the **** she pulled with I'm real (remix).

There's some Latino rappers that get away with it like Fat Joe. And I've seen Middle Eastern people use it with no issue.
