Take your stan glasses off. No chorus, poor hooks. Had another artist sang this song, yall wouldnt even listen it more than once ot twice. But just because its Gaga, yall acting as if its a ROTY future winner But lets hope the second single will be better and she will choose wisely this time. Regarding Nadir, I wouldnt even be mad if he is not on LG5. But I really want to hear his lead single that was first planned for LG5.

Sis i thought this far into Gagas career, you should be tired of this.
Just enjoy the song without complications. ignore all the noise-the charts etc and you'll grow to love it.

Like she is not about charts and blah blah but she's still on the big label that spend shitloads of money on promo for her.
I don't wanna even think about what's gonna happen next. The song will probably be dead by the end of September (and video won't help either) and what next? She will just wait until the album drops with no successful single to save the album?

This post is spot on.
Like it or not, PI is going to drop like a stone by the end of next week. Radio will be over it by the end of the weekend. The MV will not save it.

I can't believe how some people can take away all the fun from having a new single from their fave. It's literally been ruining it for me and I don't think this toxic environment is healthy for anyone

I just wanted to say, initially I HATED the song. I went in depression I guess, The more I heard it the more I H A T E D it. I was worried about what the haters on atrl would say, what the chart position would be, what would her career trajectory be after this....
I did not listen to it for many hours, forgot about atrl, forgot about everything else. I wanted to forget everything about pop music.
While browsing r/music, I was surprised to see some redditors being excited over the song, gave it a listen.....now I havent stopped replaying it. Its amazing.
Its a grower. Ever since born this way ALL of her songs have been like this...
I remember when born this way was releases, there were a shitload of fans and non fans in the facebook even (born this way countdown) all of them felt dissapointed in BTW initially, even when the album premiered, youtube comments even on songs like bloody mary were extemely cynical..
BTW turned out to be my personal favourite gaga album. I dont know why gaga does this but her music post BTW (with the exception of applause) has never been instantaneously catchy material she served during the TF, TFM era. It takes a number of listens to get used to it.
You might argue, why she is insisting on releasing such materials especially considering that she is at the crossroads of her career, but if she did release predictable catchy edm influenced songs (like she tried with artpop) it would never be gaga. Artpop is hated because it was never true lady gaga music.
This is just my opinion, I dont state them as facts, just what I have observed in my 6+ years stanning for lady gaga.
Gaga releases will never be happy, gaga fans will always be treated like outcasts, but when we forget about the world and listen to her music, that's when I guess I find my perfect illusion and **** it I'm satisfied.
Perfect illusion isnt a perfect song, but then again no gaga song is, especially since born this way. That's what makes it so beautiful.

Lol at IT mentioning social media comments with gusto, first of all bitch you can clearly tell that those comments come from blank profiles and behind most of them are seething, old, fat crypt fans - they must have stopped jerking off to justin bieber and other underage twinks to create those profiles to spread their anger over stefani slaying the charts.

My mom isn't raelly keen on the song and she likes Gaga, her fav songs are Speechless, You and I and Bad Romance so that's quite concerning cuz PI is supposed to appeal to all ages..
But she has only heard it 2 times so idk .... I hope the video helps
edit: and she loves Rock, she has a great taste Idk what's wrong.

I think it's quite shocking to hear her so brashly real. This is achingly personal, heartbreaking stuff!
People seem to have some sort of obsession with her recreating a "Bad Romance" type megapop sound, but I really love this and I'm sure the detractors will come around soon enough.
She sounds hurt, her voice husky and ragged, but still unquestionably strong. It's defiant, it's angry, it's a slap in the face to him. Brilliant way to come out of the gate this new era, and hopefully it can surprise the aforesaid detractors and become a huge hit.
