We didn't do anything for Bieber. One Time reached #12 in July 2009 and freefell off the charts in the following weeks.
His music doesn't even qualify as Canadian Content and he doesn't even live in Canada.
The fail part is that CANZ can be such puppets to American manufactured pop songs sometimes

What I was saying is that he wasn't successful in Canada before he got success in the US. It's not a Michael Bublé situation where he was well known nationally and then launched an international career afterwards.
And you don't get nominated for a Juno Award because of quality. It's because of sales, which Bieber has plenty of from selling his stuff almost exclusively to 12 year old girls. The winner, however, is picked based off of quality.
