I agree that overall Rio was a good choice. Beautiful city, wonderful language and culture. It was great. Hopefully now Brazil can focus on politically and economically getting themselves together so I can move there.

I was in Rio de Janeiro last week, and saw six events of the Olympic Games - including athletics and swimming.

Seeing Phelps, Bolt and my own country (Great Britain - #2 in the leaderboard for the FIRST TIME) win a gold medal was one of the best moments of my life. Hearing your national anthem ring out in an Olympic Stadium is just life-changing

Simone won't be able to stay on another 4 years. Sorry but 23 is too hard to stay on top for gymnastics. She should just go and get millions of dollars on Dancing with the Stars.

This Olympics seemed to fly by. I didn't even realize it was already the closing ceremonies.

I'm going to try to make it to the Tokyo Olympics. It's my maternal homeland.

If not, I'm going to try and volunteer at the LA Olympics (fingers crossed we get selected) and I'm gonna beg them to put me in the diving arena

Such a good games. Amazing sporting achievement coupled with moments of truly outstanding sportsmanship.

Congratulations to Rio and Brazil. Many had doubts but for the most part, it was pulled off excellently!

Sorry I love Brazil and it's people but when most of the venues were empty it is not a good games. It's not necessarily anyone's fault it's just circumstances.

Reminder of how far we've come in women's gymnastics:

All-Around 13th place
Only qualified for one apparatus, and ended up last place.
Only got a bronze team medal, 10 years after the fact, cuz of China being too youthful.

Yeah that aint gonna happen. They swept the problems under the rug for the Olympics and that rug is about to get lifted.

And they couldnt even half fill those venues during the Olympics so theyll be covered in weeds within two years.

Now girls who could probably medal are not making the team
