I would actually be happier if she doesn't show up at the VMAs, at all.

why does everything need to be related to vmas? it can easily flop with or without vmas. it can easily smash with or without a performance at a late night show or easily without anything. its all about the single.

Honestly, she doesn't even need the vmas.

I mean her performing would obviously make me go crazy but it's w/e. There's so much more she can do and if they are intentionally skipping the show, I bet they have something up their sleeves.

She doesn't need the VMA's but I understand why people are sad she's missing out on a high profile promo event with opportunity for a great performance. But I appreciate her just allowing the music to do it's thing this time round.

If they are skipping the VMAs, they MUST have something even bigger on their hands.

But announcing and waiting this long (1month if mid-September) to release is not good either. It doesn't work anymore like it did years ago.
Makes me worried about what they have planned.

If she were releasing this single two months ago we wouldn't be thinking about the VMA's because the promo platform wouldn't have been there. Motion that thought process the same as now. She'll be fine.

A lot of main pop girls are going and performing in the VMA's. Brit, Rih, idk if they are announced already but Bey and Katy might perform too. People's attention are going to be divided. I think Gaga's team find the VMA not a smart choice for promoting your first single after 3 years in an event where they are a lot of possibilities to happen, one of them is being overshadowed by other person in there.

I would only be here for her closing the VMAs

Had she released the single earlier I would expect her to be performing something at the VMAs. If the material is strong enough to make it without promo then even better, but Gaga has been musically irrelevant for like 5 years so it would be nice to see her comeback fully promoted

This is such an omnious feeling right now cuz we never know what the sound of Gaga truly is for the next album. We never really do.
