Are there any scrapped albums by your faves or other artists that were never released?
From the top of my head, I can remember:
1. Jessie J - Alive (US version): Her second album, Alive was meant to be released in the US and Jessie was recording new tracks for the US edition. That ended up getting scrapped, and a new album (Sweet Talker) was recorded instead. Strip (which was supposed to be on the US version of Alive) was the only track that made it onto Sweet Talker and it's on the deluxe version.
2. Britney Spears - Original Doll
3. Rihanna - Original R8: Those were the tracks that were meant to include FFS, BBHMM and AO. Also that World Peace demo that was rumoured to be on that album or something. I believe this was before ANTI came about.
Hilary Duff - Pre-BIBO album: the folk genre she was experimenting in turned into a dance/edm pop album known as Breathe In. Breathe Out. I think some of the songs from the original album did actually make the cut though.
Britney's original ideas for FF & BJ albums: were heavily thought to be urban and dance kind of music, both became heavy dubstep/edm genre albums.
Aly & Aj/78violet's self titled debut.
I feel like there was numerous MJ albums that were planned but they were never released at the time (one recorded in 1970s(?), after HIStory, 2007, 2009).
Bjork's Domestika(?) which was later crafted into her album "Vespertine"
ARTPOP ACT II. She said that she has some great songs that were scrapped from ARTPOP (In Like With You, Tinnitus, and Onion Girl). Eventually, she couldn't release it because of her label and the Trou Carter situation I guess.
JoJo, All I want Is Everything, Jumping Trains, and Demonstrate version
Christina original Bionic or Light and Darkness
Original Doll
Usher's All About U later got leaked and became 8701
R8 was going in a different direction, but some of the songs like Never Ending, LOTB, Kiss It Better, and a few others were going to be on the original so it wasn't 100% scrapped
A friend of mine who works in A&R for RCA said that there was an entire album ready for release when "Pretty Girls" dropped, but then they scrapped it all after the track's utter floppage. Said it sounded a lot like Femme Fatale, but then Britney wanted to completely change directions and so--Glory.
Jimi Hendrix's Black Gold (supposedly to be released "this decade"), multiple Bowie and Prince unreleased albums, the Jay Z and Notorious B.I.G. collab that wasn't completed due to his death. Argh, there's just so much unheard music

I would die for that album - my god.
FF was my favorite album of hers (one of).
- The little known Kanye West and Lady Gaga collab album/EP that got scrapped with their tour. Too bad he f'ed up with the Taylor Swift crap. These tracks are locked up somewhere and I want them!
