We Belong Together is nothing like Irreplaceable except for it being a mid-tempo R&B song. Can you please point to more similarities to that?
Irreplaceable had either direct copies of it's instrumental/sonic style (
With You by Chris Brown,
Good Girl Gone Bad,
Hate That I Love You) or copies in the overall tone, feel and messaging of the song, such as the sassy sarcasm replicated for songs like
Take a Bow.
CIL was written by someone else? SO? Lots of singers have been very influential by popularizing a style even if they hadn't written it. The
CIL horn sample is rather obscure though, and Beyoncé choosing to put it out and it being such a hit undoubtedly spawned wannabe-artists and songs. Not to mention that she did indeed write on
CIL so I don't know what you're getting at.
