Sorry Army but I don't get y'all. The Make Me vid is good. It's entertaining, has humour, hot guys (who don't look like they're only there coz Britney / her obviously gay backup dancers), she looks amazing, it fits the song perfectly etc. The only part I didn't like was the G-Eazy shop-in but what can you do when he's not on set?

My thoughts:
1. The official music video is terrible. It completely ruins her streak of amazing lead single music videos and brings absolutely nothing to the table. It looks cheap and rushed and is poorly edited. Randee St. Nicholas can go stand with will.i.am and all the other people Brit should never work with again.
2. The original video looks SO much better. Even if Brit thought it was too explicit, they could have edited those parts out like they did with "Work Bitch" and still ended up with something 10x better than what we got.
3. I'm pissed as hell that we ended up with a pixelated screen shot for the album cover when we could have had a David LaChapelle cover as amazing as the "Make Me..." cover. This is her first album we are getting on vinyl and it is going to look like a blurry mess.
4. It's honestly sad that she has now burned bridges with TWO of the best directors in the industry.
5. This era has been almost as messy as the Britney Jean era and is only saved by the improved music and promotion. It's honestly sad that her team can never get everything right. They improve in one area and then screw up in another. Embarrassing.
6. None of this is anything worth un-stanning over, but it is obviously a huge disappointment.

You only like the new video cause you're not a fan. Actual fans prefer the first version the 2nd video is a piece of garbage
The booklet will probably have screen shots from the MV since I believe rumour has it that Chapelle shot the artwork but pulled the plug on it too
Us not getting the Chapelle album cover and booklet may be the worst part of the video getting scrapped tbh

Ugh - I'm out for a while - I cannot stand these eras where we are disappointed. I sit through the no promo thing etc and get over it cause I get it.
But I'm so tired of always getting potentially iconic new MV's to have them scrapped & watered down...**** around with promo, touring etc, but please keep the quality up there.
I'll come back when the album drops cause I'm positive it will be good...until then I'm not really hyped anymore if we're getting this B grade ****.

The fact that they got all this product placement for a high budget video and the had to cram it into a $2 video (where it couldn't be incorporated/hidden as well) in order to meet their obligations to the companies.

Joseph Kahn ain't working with her again after the "Perfume" fiasco. I also doubt Ben Mor would work with her again after she forgot his name, but he isn't a huge loss.

If Britney was uncomfortable and unhappy with the original video, she has every right to scrap it and start fresh. I fully support that decision. What I don't support is the replacement being a cheap, rushed mess. I would have gladly waited longer for the single to be released if it meant getting a decent reshot video. There is also no excuse for them using a SCREEN SHOT for the ALBUM cover when they easily could have done a photoshoot to replace the LaChapelle one. A rushed, embarrassing mess.
