I love Wait For You's snippet on iTunes. I'm gonna buy the album today so I'll listen in full then.

Production is amazing but I feel like this is her weakest album. Not saying this one is bad, but the others are just way better.

i haven't been in love with a Fantasia album since her 2nd one which is still her best IMO

"Back To Me" had some highlights but i couldnt get into "Side Effects of You" at all

she's been talking about this rock/soul stuff for a while and she did not execute what i consider rock/soul on the Side Effects album at all. so i wonder if she gave it a more authentic try on this album and it has real rock/soul music on it.

i listened to the album...on first impression....i like the album.

she did a better job infusing some actual rock/soul influence into this album than her last...she sounds just like Tina Turner on "Lonely Legend"

the other songs she released sound better in context of the album too

On my third listen now. I still think the album is great. Her most diverse ever and my favorite of hers.

I guess the songs we already had shine a lot brighter than the other ones, which is not a bad thing considering they're some of the best she's ever done (SWTOIL being THE best). Plus, we already had 4 / 11 songs, so... My top 5 is these 4 songs plus Wait For You!

DAMN. Tasia did this. This is her best ALBUM. She better get that Album of the Year nom.

Finally listened to this. It's a nice project. I love Wait For You (though i may cut the phone call off hihi), So Blue, and Roller Coasters the most.

She's projected to sell 35K copies so basically on point with my prediction of Tamar CAL numbers. Sad that 35K is still among one of the best recent female r&b first week sales but that's what album sales have come to.

I have only heard SEOY before this (and I really liked that album) and I was rather let down upon my first few spins

BUT

wow, how much this record has grown on me. It may not be as instant as Side Effects but has hit me so hard now. It's really such an amazing blending of styles, genres and even timeless in a way. Some stuff sounds 70s, some 80s, some really current but it's always blended to a whole. I never feel like I listen to a retro record.

I hope Fantasia finds some success and this record opens at least some new doors because imo this is an amazing piece of work.

And this coming from Germany. (I actually feel like some of these tunes could actually work on german AC stations, like for example "Lonely Legend")
