Tourists torture and behead wild giraffe

A sickening video has sparked outrage on social media after showing a group of men allegedly beheading a giraffe out in the wild.
The graphic video has now been shared on several different websites after it went viral earlier this week. In the harrowing clip, a group of men are seen shooting the giraffe from a distance, shouting 'Allahu Akbar' [God is great] as the animal falls to the ground. The men then approach the creature and use a hunting knife to sever its neck.
The dead animal is then transferred to a large refrigerator and skinned by members of the group.
According to Arab News, the men are from Saudi Arabia but it is unclear where the footage was originally recorded.

I don't think I can "simply" blame these men for what they did. It sounds as if they did what they had to do for religious reasons. Again I'm not located in Saudi Arabia, nor am I Saudi Arabian. I'm not sure if I am properly using their language or their mode of communication. For me, if anything, before making any (Western) accusations, I need to come to know about the men's (and giraffe's?) experiences. I think it would be unfair for me to carry a judgment against something that happened elsewhere, away from my location. I guess I am a flexible and loose person like this. Cultures, culturalities, and different worlds can be tricky.

Excuse me? The entertainment of torturing and murdering innocent animals is to be justified because of people's religion and culture? Do you have any idea how disgusting and idiotic you sound?

Same exact thing happens to billions of cows, chickens, pigs every year yet nobody cares tho...

I know u have good intentions but how would this be a part of their religious obligation? Nowhere in Islam does it say "kill any animal in site". These guys just wanted to take down big exotic game and show off. (and eat it I think..I mean the article said they skinned it and put it in the fridge?).

Bonus info: Allah ou Akbar is loosely translated to " oh my God/ Omg". In literal context it is translated to "God is great" but culturally Arabs say it to simply say "Omg!!" so they were not like doing a religious fulfilment or something. They were just being savage like all the ppl who hunt animals...

I think the lives of innocent animals should be of more importance than culture/religion. You don't really have to kill things to be faithful to God imo

Not sure where your bitter and harsh criticism of my response is coming from.
Again, from my point of view, this isn't entertainment to me. From my position, I see this as a ritual or mode of behaviour. Surely it's unfair to put my judgements and values upon other people and animals? I don't think my position or values, or worldview, simply put, is better or in a higher position than the people and animal mentioned in the discussion. I think I'm on an equal basis as them, based on my gender, race, etc.

I've no idea if their behaviour is related to Islam. My point: I can't judge them or their position as a person located in Westernity. I have mixed feelings about their situation, because I am not located in it, specifically or directly. I'm distant, from a different sphere and world.

It angers me because there are dreadful things in the world going on, like this, that are simply justified because people are scared of offending culture or whatever ****ing ********. We have come to a point in our society where we are unable to divide right from wrong, and what is wrong we will excuse out of year from offending people. Reminds me of how the swedish police defended those immigrant men who assaulted women out of fear for "offending" them.
This is why this kind of thinking is not only obviously hysterically stupid, but quite frankly dangerous.
Have fun when someone murders your dog or assaults your sister, make sure not to offend their culture and traditions!

THIS IS DISGUSTING, and by no means was it done for religious reasons, just ****ing ignorant arabs with no lives.
