Ik what y'all mean about our faves leaving. My interest in the music and culture of k-pop hasn't faded at all, if anything it's grown, but once all the groups I like fade away I don't know how much of a reason I'll actually have to keep paying attention.
I haven't been particularly impressed by any new...non-SM act, I suppose, since...maybe Spica? There are a ton that have great potential and logically I know that most of my faves didn't actually make an impression til a few years into their careers, but it's still disheartening to see all of the old standards drop out one by one and be left with...the cheap imitations, essentially.
On a side note ik everyone's talking about GFriend and Twice and whomever else but I actually feel like the greatest chance for a successor to SNSD might be Pledis Girls. Twice have visuals but not enough ability, GFriend have middling ability and not enough visuals, but Pledis's group has demonstrated at least three above average vocalists (one of whom is actually very very good) and a bunch of other capable ones, Pinky and Nayoung have the visual darling thing down, the others are all pretty, fairly self-sufficient, and their pre-debut song rivals most established groups' comebacks.
Granted Pledis is highly likely to **** it up but it could be something great, I think.

Absolutely LUVing all of this hot lipton
Pledis has got something good with Pledis Girlz, potentially better than AS and I'm like their biggest stan. They seem to be getting better at managing groups judging by how Seventeen seem to be well promoted and getting bigger with each comeback so I'm not too worried for them. They've pretty much made it so that they can focus on them and Seventeen too with AS disbanding at any minute and Nu'est probably not around for much longer tbh
