People looking too deep into it, some not being able to let go of how Katy obliterated Gaga in 2013, some still being the same petty selves they were 3 years ago without an ounce of growth. Make Me... Is a cute catchy song that I see doing very well, Rise is kind of embarrassing I laughed listening to it, she tries to sound so empowering but the lyrics are trash and it just comes off real unauthentic.
I need Gaga to come back with something that shows just how much she's grown as an artist and a person in general. I mean I just wanna know if she can still change the industry like she did with Bad Romance, something wild and new. Like remember how mental everyone thought she was when she was literally singing "rah rah ah ah" in that song?
You dont have to be a Britney/Katy hater to say that their new songs are just meh. They are nothing impressive.

I literally thought it was insane little did we know how well it would work.
Really though, Make me and Rise are alright songs. I just hope Gaga's songs aren't as lukewarm for me when I listen to them. It's nothing to bash either artist for as it is true that we all have known that Gaga can make some pretty bad songs if she wants to It does make me more excited to see whether she will truly top herself musically or at least show growth with her release.
Listening to 'Rise' and 'Make Me' just got me excited for Gaga's return because I find those tracks so pedestrian. They reminded me of why I stan for Gaga and the potential she has to deliver brilliant music and surprise/entertain me.

Gaga's music quality was never an issue, she just needs radio support.
Everybody forget to mention in the 'Applause'-'Roar' diatriba that Roar was having a monster radio support compared to Lady Gaga, it's easy win in this way when you have the radio playing you all the time.

I can't even listen to Gags anymore. I just get pissed when I realise that I have to listen to ARTPOP for the billionth time because homegirl is too busy plucking turnips.
