That C#3 was't supported though. It was still good (as that's a very low note for a light lyric soprano) and Ariana hasn't gone that low, but it's an outlier and Demi in her current state could never.
In Ariana's inconsistent supported range, she has a sustained resonant C5
at 1:18
a sustained supported D5
at 1:12
and some supported Eb5s.
Again, I'm aware of Ariana's short spouts of brilliance...I can easily find clips of Demi supporting the occasional F5, E5 and even G5 too.. but that wasn't the point of my argument..I'm aware that Ariana has a better sense of pitch and rhythm and a much more sophisticated mix, however I do believe that Demi, today, during the Futurenow tour where she's steadily improving (as Ariana has done with her tour) is on equal footing with Ariana..agree to disagree, I guess.
This is so false though. Ariana is significantly better in her lower register than Demi. She can project better and support lower.
Also, there is such thing as pushed support. Pushing is like straining except support is actually retained in pushing unlike straining. Resonance can't be achieved while pushing.

Ariana doesn't have a nonexistent head voice. She RARELY uses it, yes, but she does have one. She used it in her Whitney impression on SNL. Demi's falsetto isn't developed and it's rarely used, so it's not like she's much better in that respect.

takes these succession of Eb3s that peak to a D3 at certain points..not great but they were clear, audible, dense with an interesting texture.. Ari, to me sounds foggy and colorless in comparison. My opinion. I respect your preference for Ari

Demi actually produces head tones to singer her higher notes, while Ariana like Mariah opts for disconnected falsetto..this is common knowledge..Ariana accidentally using head voice to imitate Whitney does not discount this..
Demi and Ariana are both very good but I prefer Demi's. Demi has more strength and passion in her voice which I think is very necessary for a vocalist. Ariana has better technique, but Demi's getting there.

This is so true. Seems like they stopped watching her live performances in 2014. Demi was a damn mess back then but y'all should check her latest performances. She's never like that again
