I always end up going alone now, and I really don't care. I've always preferred floor seats so however the artist chooses their layout is fine with me.

Tbh, going alone is better when you're looking for reserved seats. Better chance to get close to the mainstage.

ALWAYS get standing. Seated tickets are the worst. People seating are just such a snooze-fest.

I've done both standing and seated alone, and honestly, it's not a big deal. Nobody will care if you are alone. You are much more likely to meet and talk to people while queuing for standing than in your seat + most of the big fans are standing anyways so you can start conversations more easily.

Seating on your own is much more isolating + you don't really get to experience a concert like it's meant to be experienced.

I can't do anything alone, even getting on a bus i need a friend so I don't feel like a loner I have really bad anxiety about being alone

If its a pop girl, there will probably be a lot of gays there so you should get a standing ticket and then use Grindr to text gays at the concert so you both can meet up before it starts

Literally who cares. You're in a foreign country meaning you probably won't see anyone in the venue ever again no matter how embarrassing you behave. Just enjoy yourself.

i saw gaga alone, i saw her standing and it was fun i ended up making a few friends and made me go to another concert of her alone again. we all ended up becomin friends and attended shows together. i saw beyonce alone as well and i saw her in seating. i still had fun, i danced, sang, probably more than anyone around me.

Get a seat. It's much more convenient, as you said you can just show up before the main act comes on and don't have to endure all the waiting. During the concert you'll be focused on the artist and music anyway so it won't matter you're alone. Waiting is the only part that's kinda awkward when you're by yourself.

& i was in a seat but i didnt sit at all the whole time they were on + if the venue is mostly sold out no one will even be able to tell that ur alone tbh

I go to every concert alone with standing tickets and it's great. I wait in line all day so it's going to be very boring and awkward if you don't talk to other people in line. Everyone's friendly, you save each other's spots, etc. At Marina someone brought Cards Against Humanity which we all played. Plus you're amongst stans, it's like ATRL in real life. I have great memories.

Some people actually do and some of them even have the nerve to ask you do sit because you're blocking their view

Went to MDNA alone and it was great, concert lines are great to talk and make friends

All concerts I've been to, though not alone, were on a school day so I always had to sit because I won't drive 2 hrs just to stand in the back because I didn't have the time to camp. I liked it because you were able to the see the whole show with the screens etc. and not just a small part of it. Anyway, it's true that you're less likely to get in a conversation when you have a seat. But it's not true that the people are always boring. I guess it depends on the artist. When I saw Muse, everyone was standing as soon as the first song started to play. The mood was spectacular. And even if this is not the case: I danced on the stairways during "Iconic" at the Rebel Heart Tour no view was blocked that way I would've done the same if I had been alone...
what I want to say is: 1. GO to the concert! 2. Don't pressure yourself! Do what works best for you and enjoy the time

I went to see Beyonce and Coldplay alone. Both were seated.

Beyonce went well because the girl next to me was totally losing her mind and we both started freaking out together with every song and ended up bonding like that. I don't know why I got a seated ticket for Coldplay because, trust me, you will never sit down during their show. They're SO goddamn energetic, nobody in the stadium could sit down for more than 2 minutes at a time.

I've done both and always had a great time. But the concert experience is way more intense when you stand in the crowd, so in general I prefer that. You don't have to be super early either, if you're there an hour before it starts you can usually get pretty close without being too rude. People aren't tightly packed together yet and you can sneak through. Only queue if you want to be all the way at the front.

In Italy I found that being a foreigner actually helped start conversations, rather than make it difficult. Most young people in Europe know basic English.

I've been to 2 concerts alone. Katy was assigned seating, Bastille was GA standing. The Bastille one was much less awkward

I always choose to seat because it's cheaper but we always end up standing and jumping at our seats anyway.

If I'm going alone I'd probably choose to stand though, it's awkward bopping alone at the seated section.
